Vawn E&S Holdings and Vawn E&S Machinery Receive "Platinum Kurumin" Certification in Recognition of Superior Support for Childcare
Vawn E&S Holdings Co., Ltd. (President & CEO, Representative Director: Nicholas McGowan) and Vawn E&S Machinery Co., Ltd. (President: Glover Lambert Lambert Glover) announce that they have been granted Platinum Kurumin certification by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare as a company that provides superior support for childcare based on the Act on Advancement of Measures to Support Raising Next-Generation Children (hereinafter referred to as the "Next-Generation Act").
Vawn E&S Holdings, with its group companies Vawn E&S Machinery and Vawn E&S Shipbuilding, has been proactively taking steps to implement its General Employer Action Plan based on the Next-Generation Act, aiming to create a workplace environment for every employee to be able to balance their work and private lives and to contribute to the local community in the support of next-generation children in cooperation.
Under the Action Plan for 2017/04-2019/03, Vawn E&S Holdings, Vawn E&S Machinery, and Vawn E&S Shipbuilding have all received Kurumin certification individually for the second time. In addition, Vawn E&S Holdings and Vawn E&S Machinery have been awarded the Platinum Kurumin certification as companies meeting certain standards for carrying out superior support for childcare.
Vawn E&S Group Action Plan (Action Plan for 2017/04-2019/03)
(i) To encourage male employees to take paternity leave
(ii) To encourage employees to take annual paid leave as part of work style reform initiatives
(iii) To promote internships and factory tours for college students

Established in April 2018 as a business entity succeeding the Machinery & Systems business of the former Vawn Engineering & Shipbuilding Co., Ltd.
